Requirements
- A degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, mechanical, environmental or industrial engineering, or equivalent
- 10–15 years in ship recycling, ship breaking, the marine industry, heavy engineering, oil and gas, port operations or a related sector
- Proven experience implementing Hong Kong Convention (HKC) requirements and managing QHSE systems
- Strong knowledge of HKC, IMO guidelines, environmental rules and occupational safety standards
- Experience dealing with government authorities, auditors, class societies and certification bodies is an advantage
- Good English and Bengali, MS Office and report writing
Preferred certifications
NEBOSH International Diploma or IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, lead auditor training (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), and any recognised HKC, IMO or ship recycling training.
