DP World, which is set to run Chattogram port’s New Mooring Container Terminal, has advertised engineering and store roles in Chattogram, with 26 vacancies across five positions. The roles were posted on Bdjobs on 3 November.

Assistant Manager – Mechanical (the largest intake)
- Education: BSc or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 4–6 years, preferably in port services or the marine industry
- The job: preventive and breakdown maintenance of quay cranes, RTGs, mobile harbour cranes, straddle carriers and other terminal equipment; troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic faults; supervising technicians; planning spare parts; managing work orders in Maximo; following HSE, permit-to-work and lockout/tagout rules.
The electrical and civil manager roles ask for engineering degrees in the relevant discipline (a master’s is listed for some) and longer experience. Full requirements are on each job page.
