Raja Corporation, a Chattogram-based shipping agent and clearing & forwarding (C&F) firm founded in 1980, is recruiting a Manager – Shipping Operations to lead its vessel agency business at Chattogram Port. The role reports directly to the Managing Partner.

What the role involves
- Running vessel agency operations end to end: arrival and departure formalities, berth planning and coordination with the Chittagong Port Authority.
- Handling shipping documents such as manifests, bills of lading and delivery orders, and securing timely customs and port clearances.
- Overseeing the C&F documentation workflow and husbanding services, including crew changes and vessel supplies.
- Representing the company with shipping lines, overseas principals, ship owners, customs, the Mercantile Marine Department and the Department of Shipping.
- Negotiating agency tariffs and service charges, managing disbursement accounts, and dealing with demurrage, detention and cargo claims.
- Bringing in new agency business and leading the shipping operations team.
Who can apply
- MBA or BBA, preferably in supply chain management, logistics, international business, maritime studies or a related field; certifications in freight forwarding, customs compliance (FIATA) or shipping operations are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Chattogram Port procedures is a must.
- Knowledge of customs rules, vessel documentation, regulators (MMD, DoS, BIWTA) and Asycuda World.
- Strong English, negotiation and MS Office skills.
